In order to boost morale after Pearl Harbor, the then president of the United States ordered the bombing of Tokyo. After the mission was completed, Captain Jack Turner and his team made a forced landing in Zhejiang Province, China, because of running out of fuel. Hideko and her daughter accidentally found Jack in a coma. Despite risking her life, Hideko did not give up the American who needed help. Although they don't understand the language, this relationship is bound to affect them for the rest of their lives.Through the process of the Chinese army and people saving American pilots with their own lives, the film recreates the story of the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature in the beacon years.
